This is a gorgeous christening or special outing romper. The design is Wesley’s Blessing Romper by Jacquelyn Orton, from “Sew Beautiful,” #71, 2000.
This handsome romper can be made from handkerchief linen, cotton batiste, imperial batiste (cotton and polyester blend), cotton sateen batiste or silk dupioni. All of this fabrics are very nice for this outfit. Machine embroidery at the yoke center is suitable for a monogram, religious, or other design. The Peter Pan collar is trimmed with piping or braid. The sleeves are three-quarter-inch and are finished with beautiful heirloom stitching. The crotch is finished with snap tape. A belt is centered over the waist seam, and fastens with two buttons. The back yoke fastens with three buttons. Can be made from different colors. Note it in the options section. |
